Swedesd deltar i SASUF forskning- och innovationsvecka 14-18 maj i Pretoria, Sydafrika för att stärka forskningssamarbete och kompetensutveckling för hållbar utveckling inom högre utbildning.
The South Africa – Sweden University Forum (SASUF) är ett internationellt samarbetsprojekt mellan Sverige och Sydafrika med finansiering för 2017-2020. Projektet för samman 7 svenska och 23 sydafrikanska universitet för att utveckla forskningssamarbeten kring globala hållbarhetsutmaningar. SASUF har definierat sex områden där man vill utveckla strategier: klimatförändringar, läroplaner för högre utbildning, social samhällsutveckling, framtidens hälsosystem, urbanisering och digital teknologi.
Forsknings- och innovationsveckan är den första aktiviteten och samlar över 400 forskare, universitetsledningar, forskningsfinansiärer och ministerier för att diskutera frågorna under gästföreläsningar, forskningsseminarier och workshops.
Swedesd deltar för att stärka nuvarande forskning och kompetensutveckling för lärande för hållbar utveckling inom högre utbildning, bland annat genom forskningssamarbetet och skalningsverktyget Re-Solve, samt Unescos flaggskeppsprojekt Sustainability Starts with Teachers.
The South Africa-Sweden University Forum (SASUF) är finansierat av STINT, South African National Research Foundation, South African Departement of Higher Education, med medfinansiering av partneruniversiteten.
